Debutant

Well, summer seems to be here. I don’t want to scare it away, but this is the perfect weather for a boat to be out and about and used. The Get Creative barge has received a very thorough spring clean to make it presentable to the public and to make its debut this coming weekend. Well, we thought it was only fair for it to be part of the weekend Jubilee celebrations given that the main funding we have received towards the boat was from the Big Lottery via the Jubilee People’s Million programme done in collaboration with ITV. Therefore, on Saturday 2^nd of June, the barge will be moored on the quay in St Ives, very close to the Old Bridge and it will open to the public for visits and tours. If you had enough of photos of the boat and want to see it in real life, come to St Ives on Saturday 2^nd June between 10am-3pm and you will find us there. We will also have an open office at 17 Bridge Street so please do pop in, say hello and find out more about this project and the many others that we do. I will share no more photos of the interior of the boat before Saturday – just to be a tease and hopefully spur you to come along. It would be wonderful to meet as many of you as possible, you have been amazing support in getting us here and this entire project couldn’t have happened without you!
